What is Runtime?

Runtime is where xOx prepares the project for execution.

The goal of this phase is to ensure that the project can move forward without unresolved blockers.

What happens during Runtime?

Before execution begins, xOx checks whether important information, decisions, or approvals are still missing.

If a blocking issue exists, xOx will surface it explicitly.

What is a blocking gap?

A blocking gap is information that is required before the project can safely continue.

Examples may include:

  • unresolved decisions
  • missing requirements
  • conflicting expectations
  • unanswered questions
  • missing approvals

What should I do?

If xOx identifies a blocking gap, work with xOx to resolve it.

Runtime is designed to make those gaps visible rather than allowing them to silently affect later execution.

Why does this matter?

Projects often fail when assumptions remain unresolved.

Runtime helps ensure that important blockers are addressed before execution begins.

Remember

xOx does not silently guess its way past blocking decisions.

When a project cannot safely move forward, Runtime makes the reason visible.
